Chuck Fischer


Coach Fischer begins his third year at Diablo Valley College as one of the Wide Receiver Coaches. Prior to joining the staff, coach Fischer spent six seasons on the staff at De La Salle High School. Coach Fischer graduated from De La Salle in 1984 as a multi-sport letterman. His varied coaching expertise includes wide receivers, defensive backs and special teams. In his first year at DVC, Coach Fischer played an integral role in facilitating WR Ryan Gardner's scholarship offer to Colorado State. In 2008, All-American WR John Hendershott led the state in TD's and in 2009 3 more of Coach Fischer's WRs received Division 1 offers. Coach Fischer is a retired Captain in the Contra Costa County Fire District and has performed as a paramedic for twenty years.

Coach Fischer and his wife Lindy live in Concord with their two children, Heather (19) and Sam (16).
